So, I figured I'd give you some ideas for a basic makeup kit every woman should own, even ones without an addiction like me... :)
BASE
A good foundation is the key. If you're only going to own one foundation, it should be medium coverage, not contain SPF (so you can avoid looking like Bella Cullen when you go clubbing), and be easy to apply. I personally am a fan of a good cream-to-powder foundation, as they usually tick all the boxes. However, you can sweat through them and that's just nasty.
EYES
A good nude palette is what you need. You can have a basic eye for work, or smoke it up when you go out. Nude palettes are so multi-tasking it's ridiculous.
Mascara... ah mascara. Everyone needs a good one. I put the call out on twitter for a good basic one, as I change my mascara like I change my underwear, and it's so hard to find an animal friendly one.
One that came back in droves was Maybelline Great Lash. I do not support Maybelline as they are not cruelty free.
Eyeliner
A good eyeliner is a must. It can take you from day to night so easily. Pencil eyeliners are easiest to use, and multitask when you're smudging for a smoky eye on a night out.
Try The Body Shop Carbon Eye Definer in Black $20.95

CHEEKS
You need a good multi-tasking blush, bronzer is optional. I love peachy toned blushes because they work well with almost any look, and you can layer them for more colour.

LIPS
I personally think, unless you want to go all out with lipliner and the like, a good lipgloss is all you need. Choose it in a colour like peony or rose, and you can work it from day to night so easy!
Try Revlon Colourburst Lipgloss $21.95
And there you have it, beauty basics that are definitely multitasking!
