NOTD: Essie's "Carry On"

It's been a hundred million years since I've posted a NOTD, mainly because I'm crap at photographing my nails. Also, my nails are often in a state of disrepair.

Anyway, I recently gave Essie's "Carry On" from their Autumn collection a whirl, and my lovely friend and polish addict Rachael demanded requested to see swatches.

Natural light

Artificial light

As you can see it's a really dark maroon colour. At first I didnt light it but it's growing on me. I'm not usually one for dark nail colour, with the exception of OPI's My Private Jet, but I don't mind this one.

This was also my first Essie polish, and I found the wear really good compared to other polishes. Best bit, it didn't peel off on me YAY.

ILoveThisBox March Edition

Another month, another box.

I didn't mention it, but I have unsubscribed from BellaBox. It's not that they didn't have great products, I just got sick of all the skincare. I like a mix, which they didn't really have. So I swapped to ILoveThisBox, and my first box was March.

Glitter Puff wand - I think I'll give this to my neice. Cute, though.

Sunsilk Frizz and Weather defence - I'm excited to give this a go! My hair HATES winter

Thalgo Soft Hydrating Emulsion - meh. Always can use a moisturiser. But meh.

Maybelline XXL Pro Curl - excited to give this a go! I'm always on the lookout for new mascara, and I love Maybelline.

Essie Nail Polish in Carry On - 5mL - excited to give this Autumn colour a try, I've never tried Essie.

Overall Very impressed with my first ILTB, sadly it's my last for a while as I simply have too much stuff I haven't used yet. And I just hauled more. So I've cancelled my subscription, not because I didn't love it - it was awesome! Just need to get rid of some stuff!

Review: Herbal Essences Drama Clean Shampoo

I recently went on the hunt for a good clairfying shampoo. I don't use alot of product, but when I do I always shampoo twice... So I figured I needed a good clarifying shampoo to do this job, then follow up with a more targeted shampoo.

My hair is medium length, wavy, THICK and coloured. This shampoo didn't fade my colour, it didn't make my scalp itchy or weigh my hair down and it did a fantastic job of removing excess product and oil from my hair. I use it whenever I have been exercising alot (excess sweat/oil) or have used product in my hair, then I follow up with my regular shampoo (at the moment it's Pantene Colour Protect), and conditioner of course. I haven't had any issues and have just repurchased another bottle. It's really well priced, smells great and does a great job, I'd recommend it to anyone who is a clarifying shampoo virgin like myself!

You can pick this up from supermarkets and chemists for around $6 for 250mL

Review: Revlon Colourburst Lipgloss in Rosepearl

Apologies for the lack of meaningful posts lately, it's been crazy. Finally, I have 5 minutes to sit down and schedule some posts!

So, this is Revlon Colourburst Lipgloss in Rosepearl. I've had this for around 6 months, and to be honest for a while I forgot I had it. I've started wearing it again and it's become a new favourite.

Firstly, it has a wonderful rich colour to it, unlike some glosses I find. It wears for around 2 hours without eating or drinking, and remains glossy the entire time. It's not at all sticky, which I love, and the applicator is just a dream to work with!

I already have 2 more coming from the USA as I write this, as they're my new favourite! So rich and creamy.... ahhh.... :)

You can pick it up for $22.95 at all good chemists, department stores etc

This product was provided to me in a gift bag at a book signing. I am under no obligation to review this product.

Haul: The Body Shop Prize

Every month The Body Shop Australia has a competition on their Facebook and Twitter pages (links below) for a "fan of the month" - I believe on Facebook it's the person who comments and shares the most, and similar on Twitter but I'm not really sure!

Anyway, I was the March Fan of the Month on Twitter! It was really exciting! So they sent me a little package of goodies!

It arrived in a large box, packed with brown paper and wrapped in bubble wrap and then in tissue paper with a beautiful pink ribbon.

Inside, I found my goodies!

I received a Green bag, Honey Bronze Bronzing Dry Oil, Honey Bronze Lip Nectar, and samples of White Musk Libertine EDT, Nutriganics Drops Of Youth, Nutriganics Day Cream and Tea Tree Face wash. Amazing! I really look forward to trying the drops of youth, I hear it's a great product!

Thanks again to The Body Shop Australia!!!

You can follow them on twitter here and like them on Facebook here.

February Empties... part 2

As usual, the second half of the month wasn't nearly as productive empties-wise than the first. I think I have finally gotten rid of all the small bottles of crap I have lying around, and now I'm into the full size actually full products.

Anyway, without further ado....

One day I will figure out a fun way to photograph empties. Untill then..

Garnier Fructis anti dandruff conditioner - I suspect my brother bought this by accident, because I certainly don't buy anti-dandruff shampoo (luckily), anyway, figured it needed to be used. Was quite nice.

Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path Triple Moisture Body Cream - ahhh... I love this. Sadly, my last bottle from my USA haul :( I love the scent, however Dad thinks it smells like Aeroguard. Would purchase again and again and again.

Burts Bees Coconut Foot Creme (small) - love. Would purchase again.

Cutex nail polish remover - meh. Did the job.

Pantene Colour Protect Shampoo - It does a good job, and it does protect my colour. Might try something different next time.

Some random packet of makeup pads - they were really cheap from what I remember. They were awful. They stuck together and... yuck. Back to the priceline brand!

How did your empties go for the month?
